According to its parent company Sinopec, Jiangsu Petroleum will open its first hydrogen refueling station this week.
Gaochun City is in the province of Jiangsu in eastern China, and the station is located there. Jiangsu Petroleum, according to Sinopec, plans to open six hydrogen refueling stations this year.
Sinopec, the state-owned oil company, revealed earlier this year that it intends to construct 1,000 hydrogen refueling stations across China over the next five years. Last month, the company opened the first hydrogen refueling station in the island province of Hainan and broke ground on the first commercial hydrogen refueling station in the Chongqing municipality.
