DESCO Infratech Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KPI Green Hydrogen and Ammonia Private Limited and Naveriya Gas Pvt. Ltd to jointly develop hydrogen–natural gas blending projects and associated infrastructure nationwide.
The collaboration focuses on blending green hydrogen with conventional natural gas, creating a lower-carbon fuel mix for industrial, commercial, and transport sectors. By leveraging hydrogen’s clean-burning potential alongside existing gas networks, the initiative seeks to reduce emissions while facilitating the adoption of renewable energy in India’s gas infrastructure.
Under the MoU, KPI Green Hydrogen and Ammonia will lead investments and financial structuring, concentrating on renewable energy generation and hydrogen infrastructure.
DESCO Infratech will contribute technological expertise in hydrogen generation, compression, blending, and delivery systems, while Naveriya Gas Pvt. Ltd will deploy its experience in city gas distribution and pipeline networks to enable large-scale integration.
The partnership also targets the development of hydrogen compressor stations to support vehicular fueling along national highways, aligning with India’s growing focus on hydrogen mobility. This step aims to build a comprehensive hydrogen supply ecosystem that can accommodate industrial and transport demands.
