HTEC Hydrogen Technology & Energy Corporation (HTEC) announced the establishment of a new division in Montreal on July 1, 2021, called HTEC Québec.
The corporation already has a presence in Quebec’s hydrogen infrastructure, having provided the province with a station in 2019. Today, HTEC assists Toyota and Harnois with the operation of a retail hydrogen station in Quebec City, and work to expand HTEC’s Quebec Fueling Network is well on. HTEC is currently designing and constructing two retail hydrogen stations, two are in the late stages of development, and four are in the early stages of development.
“Across Eastern Canada, we’re seeing growing market interest in decarbonization solutions involving hydrogen,” says Colin Armstrong, HTEC’s President and CEO. “The Province of Quebec has set clear government targets and policies supporting carbon-emission reductions, and there’s strong, proactive industry commitment to deliver low-carbon transportation solutions to customers and consumers. These are just two important reasons why HTEC Québec is an exciting next step in the evolution of our business.”
Hydrogen industry veteran, Pierre Gauthier, will lead the new HTEC Québec.
