Insplorion and a Swedish transportation company have agreed to work together on a pilot and development project using Insplorion’s hydrogen sensor platform.
The goal of the project is to figure out how the sensor will work in the customer’s application and to create a prototype for it. The first phase of the study will cost around SEK 100 000 and will be completed in the first quarter of 2022.
During the year, we put a lot of effort into developing the hydrogen sensor platform so that customers can try it out. This study is the first industrially funded hydrogen sensor pilot, and it builds on a conversation that began in the second half of this year. The study’s goal is to assess the sensor’s performance for customer-specific needs, as well as to develop and test a modified method of remotely accessing the sensor via an optical fiber. If the first part goes well, the project will be continued with more collaborative sensor development for the customer’s specific needs.
“It is too early to estimate the potential of this application. This however shows that our hydrogen sensor has matured enough to allow us to initiate customer financed pilots. It also shows that our efforts in both business and tech development are starting to pay off, and that we are now entering a new phase with the hydrogen sensor platform”, comments Patrik Dahlqvist, CEO at Insplorion.
