A contract worth over $9 million has been given to Babcock & Wilcox Environmental business segment to develop and provide two cooling systems for a clean hydrogen production facility in the Middle East.
Two SPIG fiberglass-reinforced polymer (FRP) cooling towers will be provided by B&W Environmental in order to offer effective, low-emission cooling for a facility that will create hydrogen using renewable energy sources.
Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Jimmy Morgan said “B&W Environmental’s SPIG cooling systems can be custom-designed for renewable energy facilities, including clean hydrogen production, and can help these plants operate at peak performance while protecting the environment from harmful emissions.”
The FRP cooling towers from B&W Environmental provide remarkable noise and vibration absorption as well as high strength, weather resistance, long-term performance, and durability.
