The development of hydrogen engines is being done, in Suzuki’s words, “as one of the multi-pathway initiatives for realizing carbon neutrality.”
University of Wyoming gets boost for blue hydrogen project
The University of Wyoming has been chosen to receive $693,514 from the Wyoming Innovation Partnership (WIP) in support of developing a new hydrogen economy.
In the project “Advancing Blue Hydrogen Production and Transport Infrastructure in Wyoming,” the technical, economic, environmental, social, and policy challenges associated with nuclear-powered hydrogen produced from traditional and renewable gas resources in Wyoming are examined.
The project phase is being led by academics and researchers from the University of Washington’s Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering and Construction Management and the School of Energy Resources (SER), in conjunction with Western Wyoming Community College (Western), the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, and Idaho National Laboratory. It will be finished after a 12-month period.
