Doosan Bobcat reveals hydrogen-powered forklift in South Korea
For the first time ever, hydrogen-powered forklifts have been made available for purchase in South Korea by Doosan Bobcat, a division of the Doosan Group, which also makes agricultural and construction equipment.
The firm revealed on Wednesday that the previous day, at its forklift facility in Incheon, it had staged a delivery ceremony for its first hydrogen forklift. Doosan Bobcat’s first hydrogen forklift is a 3-ton model with an output fuel cell that can produce 20 kW.
It will be sent to the Korea Zinc Onsan smelting factory following testing at the Korea Construction Equipment Technology Institute.

China completes first flight of prototype four-seat hydrogen internal combustion aircraft
A prototype four-seat hydrogen internal combustion aircraft from China successfully completed its first flight in Shenyang, in the Liaoning Province of northeast China.
The test pilot, Xu Xiaoben, stated that the aircraft had satisfactory performance at a flight altitude of 200 meters and had adequate power with an acceptable amount of vibration.
The aircraft has a length of 8.2 meters and can store up to 4.5 kg of high-pressure hydrogen gas. 180 kilometers per hour is the aircraft’s cruise speed.
Furthermore, the hydrogen internal combustion engine of the airplane has a maximum thermal efficiency of more than 43 percent.
Turbotech and Safran finish testing first hydrogen turboprop for light aircraft
The first test of an aviation gas turbine engine powered by hydrogen and featuring an ultra-high performance regenerative cycle was successfully finished by Turbotech and Safran. The test was made feasible by ArianeGroup’s resources and decades of experience at its Vernon test center in France conducting tests using hydrogen fuels for space purposes.
This first experiment used gaseous hydrogen fuel that had been stockpiled. Later this year, the engine will be connected to an Air Liquide-developed cryogenic liquid storage system in a second phase that will showcase the end-to-end integration of a propulsion system that replicates every function on a full airplane.
