UK Civil Aviation Authority forms new working group
In an effort to further advance hydrogen development as the next generation of green fuel for the aviation sector, the UK Civil Aviation Authority announced the formation of a new working group.
The Hydrogen Working Group, or H2Wo, will make sure that the Hydrogen Challenge is developed and implemented in a way that meets the needs and expectations of stakeholders while upholding a high standard of safety and promoting creativity and efficiency.
With an emphasis on the use of hydrogen to power aircraft, the certification of aircraft that use it as a fuel, and the handling, safety, and infrastructure required at airports to allow the transformation, the group’s work will contribute to the development of hydrogen into a practical, scalable form of aviation fuel.
