Jacobs chosen as program manager for California hydrogen hub
The U.S. Department of Energy Office of Clean Energy Demonstration (DOE OCED) recently awarded funding to Jacobs for his work as Program Manager for the Alliance for Renewable Clean Hydrogen Energy Systems (ARCHES), one of the seven national hubs announced by the White House, which is a public-private partnership (P3) creating a clean hydrogen hub (H2) in California.
The newly formed ARCHES consortium will need constant support, which will be provided by the Program Management Office (PMO). As the PMO lead, Jacobs will lay the groundwork for a flourishing hydrogen market in California by leveraging its tried-and-true program management methodology to oversee delivery, integrate project activities, and promote best practices throughout the whole H2 lifecycle of feedstock, production, distribution, and offtake.
Provaris Energy pauses trade on its securities
Anticipating a major announcement about a possible material agreement that could affect its projects involving the production and export of hydrogen, as well as the transportation of compressed hydrogen throughout Europe, Provaris Energy has asked for a pause to trade on its securities. The stoppage will last until Tuesday, August 6, 2024, when regular trading resumes, or until the announcement is made.
SFC Energy and GP JOULE’s Hydrogen Partnership at Wacken Open Air 2024
SFC Energy, a prominent supplier of hydrogen and methanol fuel cells, is collaborating with festival sponsor GP JOULE for the second consecutive year at Wacken Open Air 2024.
SFC Energy’s H2Genset, an emission-free, flexible, and mobile power generator, will be used to power the festival’s wristband distribution area. The green hydrogen for this generator is supplied by eFarm, Germany’s largest green hydrogen mobility project initiated by GP JOULE. While the use of hydrogen fuel cells at such a high-profile event demonstrates a commitment to sustainability, it is important to consider the broader implications and challenges of this technology.
