Eurotainer accelerates the hydrogen economy by partnering with Hexagon Purus to provide Type 4 hydrogen storage solutions.
This venture supports Norway’s goal to become a low-emission society by 2050. These advanced storage systems will be leased to industrial customers in Norway, including Norwegian Hydrogen.
Hexagon Purus will deliver 380-bar hydrogen distribution systems for the safe transport of green hydrogen. These systems will be part of Eurotainer’s leasing network, aiding hydrogen transport for mobility and industrial applications in Norway and beyond.
Norwegian Hydrogen, a Eurotainer customer, produces green hydrogen at its Hellesylt Hydrogen Hub and other developing facilities across the Nordics. Veidekke, a construction company, will employ this hydrogen to cut emissions in asphalt production. Vireon, a subsidiary of Norwegian Hydrogen, aims to be a leading operator of hydrogen refueling stations for heavy transport in the Nordic region.
The new storage systems will be manufactured at Hexagon Purus’ facility in Germany and delivered by the year’s end. This collaboration is crucial for expanding green hydrogen distribution, supporting Norway’s move towards a sustainable future.
