The Hydrogen Council is welcoming new board members, Masdar, Siemens Energy, and Yara Clean Ammonia, starting January 1, 2025.
These additions are anticipated to bring diverse expertise to the Council, significantly enhancing its capacity to lead energy transitions.
Masdar is expected to offer insights into the Middle Eastern investment landscape, while Siemens Energy and Yara Clean Ammonia will contribute their knowledge in electrolyser technology and ammonia production. This collaborative effort is pivotal as the Council navigates a critical period for the energy sector.
The Council’s objectives include maintaining the recent progress in hydrogen technology, which has seen record capital commitment and projects surpassing the Final Investment Decision in 2024. Looking ahead, the emphasis is on establishing regulatory stability, clear demand indications, and global standardization to continue scaling up and achieving hydrogen’s potential benefits.
