After confirming that it is no longer associated with the coal-to-methanol Bengalon, East Kalimantan, Indonesia project or any other coal gasification projects in Indonesia, Air Products is concentrating on hydrogen.
The business claimed to have invested $2 billion in the project in May 2020.
The opportunity for Air Products to invest in these global energy transition projects has increased as a result of the considerable changes in the financial environment for blue and green hydrogen projects over the past year. Air Products said in a statement that the company has opted to refocus its financial resources on such energy transition prospects.
In Indonesia, Air Products is still committed to growing its industrial petrol business there.
