At its hydrogen factory in Llanwern, South Wales, Air Products made a £6.5 million investment in a trailer and cylinder filling station.
The hydrogen filling station, which is anticipated to be online in the spring of 2023, will increase the daily supply of fuel-cell-grade hydrogen to 1.5 tonnes and make it available to the market for transportation and energy transition. It has the potential to fill a fleet of 100 buses or 50 trucks.
The investment in Llanwern will increase end-users confidence in green hydrogen, supporting regional and international net-zero ambitions.
