The municipality of Alba Iulia has announced a tender titled “Furnizarea a 15 Stații de reîncărcare pentru vehicule electrice” aimed at delivering and installing 15 electric vehicle charging stations. This tender was published on March 3, 2025, and interested parties must submit their proposals by March 18, 2025. This initiative is part of Romania’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan, crucial for advancing the hydrogen energy sector by supporting infrastructure for green transport.
The main objective of this tender is to supply, install, and connect electric vehicle charging stations in Alba Iulia. It also includes providing technical design services, technical verification of the project, installation, and connection to the electric grid. The significant aim is to bolster the city’s green transport infrastructure as part of an effort to reduce pollution and foster sustainable energy use.
The tender is particularly significant because it aligns with broader European and national objectives to increase the presence of renewable energy in public infrastructure. It also promotes the use of hydrogen as a clean energy source, reducing carbon emissions associated with traditional fossil fuels.
