Amigo LNG plans to venture into green hydrogen and ammonia production in Mexico.

The company aims to leverage Mexico’s strategic location and favorable conditions for renewable energy generation. By utilizing the country’s abundance of solar and wind resources, Amigo LNG plans to produce hydrogen through electrolysis—a process that splits water into hydrogen and oxygen using renewable electricity.

Green ammonia, produced from green hydrogen, is considered a highly efficient energy carrier. Its production and usage could play a vital role in reducing carbon emissions in various industrial sectors. Amigo LNG’s focus on ammonia aligns with global efforts to create sustainable fuel options for shipping and other heavy industries.

**Environmental Impact and Economic Benefits**
The shift towards green hydrogen and ammonia is expected to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally, this initiative is likely to stimulate the local economy by creating jobs and attracting investments in Mexico’s burgeoning renewable energy sector.
