Ricardo supports launch of Toyota Hilux Toyota’s first prototype hydrogen fuel cell electric light commercial vehicle was manufactured and engineered in the UK with cooperation from Ricardo, a multinational strategic, environmental, and engineering consultancy firm. Toyota’s Derby-based plant produced and put together the prototypes. Toyota and Ricardo have been collaborating to create a hydrogen-powered version of the Toyota Hilux under the auspices of the APC, a collaboration through which the UK government has supplied financing for the project.
