Hyvia to present hydrogen urban minibus in France The Master City Bus H2-Tech, a hydrogen-powered urban minibus, will be unveiled by Hyvia, a joint venture between the Renault Group and Plug Power, at the Salon des Maires (France). The car has a 57 kilowatt (77 horsepower) electric motor connected to a 33 kilowatt-hour battery, along with a 30 kilowatt fuel cell (hydrogen) propulsion system. The first fuel cell ferry in India will be constructed by Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL). The Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) and Cochin Shipyard Limited recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding to construct this hydrogen vessel, which would be operated in Varanasi after undergoing many tests in Kochi. Eight hybrid electric ferries will be built, six for the state of Uttar Pradesh and two for the state of Assam, according to the deal.
