The Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W) and Fidelis New Energy (Fidelis) have created a global cooperation to develop clean hydrogen technologies.

In order to manufacture zero-carbon intensity hydrogen, the collaboration combines B&W’s bubbling fluidized bed boiler technology and apparatus with Fidelis’ exclusive patent-pending FidelisH2 innovations.

With the help of the FidelisH2 Alliance Program and related technologies, clean hydrogen can be produced at industrial scale from natural gas with a lifecycle carbon intensity that satisfies the requirements set forth in the Inflation Reduction Act and is eligible for the full $3 per kilogram 45V hydrogen production tax credit. There is therefore no net CO2 emitted into the atmosphere as a result of producing the lifespan carbon neutral hydrogen, making it a net-zero product.

FidelisH2, which uses tried-and-true technology from top global corporations in an innovative integration to provide industrial-scale clean hydrogen solutions, benefits tremendously from B&W’s leading renewable energy technologies and equipment. In addition to being eligible for relevant credits and incentives, such as the $3 per kilogram of hydrogen produced under the 45V Hydrogen Production Tax Credit set forth in the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, this permits the development of significant environmental impact reductions.
