Bloom Energy has inked a significant power capacity agreement with Intel Corporation, paving the way for Silicon Valley’s largest fuel cell-powered high-performance computing data center.

Under the agreement, Bloom Energy will install additional megawatts (MW) of its fuel cell-based Energy Server at Intel’s existing high-performance computing data center in Santa Clara, CA.

This expansion builds upon Bloom Energy’s existing deployment at Intel’s site since 2014, culminating in the establishment of Silicon Valley’s largest fuel cell-powered data center.

Bloom Energy’s fuel cell technology offers an ideal power solution for energy-intensive data centers, ensuring reliable electricity generation. The technology can operate as Grid Parallel or Grid Independent, providing flexibility to meet diverse energy needs.

Moreover, its ability to operate in a fully islanded microgrid mode ensures uninterrupted power supply, bypassing grid-related constraints.
