A new partnership has been established to assist federal and provincial hydrogen policies to promote the clean and green fuel, as well as Canada’s decarbonization targets and aspirations to establish a hydrogen economy.

The Canada Hydrogen Alliance (CH2A), led by Hybrixcel and seeded by GERB Scientific, will do just that by promoting supply chain innovation, production, and the commercialization of hydrogen-focused technology and hydrogen-powered projects.

Furthermore, the alliance will seek to identify concrete measures that Canada can take to grow the whole supply chain for clean hydrogen production, transportation, storage, and usage, as well as the technology development and infrastructure requirements across numerous industries.

Canada is currently one of the top ten hydrogen producers in the world, and the country’s recently launched strategy intends to improve such existing position, as well as modernize Canada’s energy systems by using Canadian expertise – and CH2A will now play a significant role in this.

The alliance represents a varied range of energy corporations, project developers, utilities, NGOs, equipment suppliers, and research institutes committed to achieving net zero. It is supported by prominent stakeholders and industry sponsors.
