The Canadian government has officially announced a CAD 300 million ($219 million) commitment to bolster the clean hydrogen trade, particularly in collaboration with Germany.

Further bolstering the clean hydrogen sector, Canada’s Clean Hydrogen investment tax credit (ITC) has gained Royal Assent, signalling government support for businesses investing in this green technology. This tax credit sets the stage for more companies and projects to join the clean hydrogen initiative.
In tandem with these investments, EverWind Fuels has teamed up with the Port of Rotterdam to establish a robust green hydrogen supply chain. This collaboration will contribute to both countries’ sustainable energy goals and economic growth in the green sector.
International partnerships continue to shape the clean hydrogen landscape. Norway’s increasing ammonia imports and Gensol’s success in securing electrolyser capacity from Indian SECI are testament to this. The Scottish government has also shown its support for hydrogen initiatives, granting £3.1 million to the Moray hydrogen hub, while collaborations boost the Risavika green ammonia hub.
