In the quest for clean and sustainable energy solutions, representatives from Chint, a renowned Chinese smart energy company, recently visited the Pecém Industrial and Port Complex (Cipp) in Brazil.
The purpose of their visit was to familiarize themselves with the emerging green hydrogen hub in the region. Led by Jackie Xiang, President of Chint in Latin America, and Shan Hao, Business Director of Chint in Latin America, the group was warmly received by Complex President Hugo Figueirêdo and Vice Presidents Rebeca Oliveira and Fabio Grandchamp.
The Pecém Industrial and Port Complex has gained global recognition, attracting the attention of numerous companies interested in exploring its green hydrogen project and facilities. With three pre-contracts already signed (AES, Casa dos Ventos, and Fortescue) and 30 memoranda of understanding in place, the complex is poised to become a major player in the green energy sector.
Chint, founded in 1984, specializes in the supply, storage, transmission, distribution, and consumption of energy. With a strong focus on clean energy, power distribution, big data, and value-added services, the company has established a robust business network across more than 140 countries and regions. Employing approximately 40,000 individuals, Chint is committed to driving global energy transformation.
As the world seeks sustainable solutions to combat climate change, partnerships between global energy leaders like Chint and local initiatives like the Pecém Industrial and Port Complex will play a vital role in advancing the development and adoption of green hydrogen technologies. The visit by Chint representatives marks the beginning of potential collaboration and further agreements that could accelerate the region’s transition to a cleaner and more environmentally friendly energy landscape.
