As part of their multi-GW Power-to-X project pipeline, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) and Sunfire have signed a framework agreement to supply up to 640 MW of electrolysis.

Industrial electrolysis systems, which are currently hard to come by, are needed to help CIP’s Power-to-X projects reach their full potential. CIP has significantly increased its electrolysis capacity as a result of its partnership with Sunfire. The CIP and Blue Earth Capital (Blue Earth) also participated in Sunfire’s latest capital raising, which enables the company’s hydrogen technologies to be scaled up further.

“This agreement adds huge value for all parties involved”, says Sunfire CEO Nils Aldag. “While CIP can rely on the most advanced electrolysis technology and our highly dedicated expert team, we showcase our ability to deliver commercially scalable projects.”
