The CRMT’s hydrogen cell, which was set up in collaboration with HORIBA, started its initial tests using Pipo Moteurs a few weeks ago. At the SIA symposium on H2 combustion engines on March 30, the initial findings will be presented.

Since the summer of 2020, CRMT has been a partner of HORIBA. It just started up its test cell for hydrogen combustion engines. Using the H2 engine from Pipo Moteurs, this is being tested in a pilot phase.

Prior to the implementation of the first demonstrations, Pipo Moteurs considers the measurements performed on the CRMT’s H2 bench to be crucial.

“This engine will be used for the first tests to take control of hydrogen combustion, but heavy and off-road projects will be carried out on specific bases,” said Frédéric Barozier, Managing Director of Pipo Moteurs. “The tests carried out with the CRMT will enable us to optimize the operation of the engine and to measure the parameters of pressure, temperature, consumption, power, torque, speed and of course emission levels.”
