Bechtel has been chosen by CWP Global to assist in the development of large-scale green hydrogen and ammonia facilities.

The agreement establishes a foundation for the partnership to provide ongoing conceptual and early planning solutions for determining the best integrated facility configurations.

CWP has developed, financed, and constructed over 1.5 GW of renewable energy projects in Europe and Australia, and is currently developing upwards of 140 GW of renewable energy capacity on three continents for the production of green hydrogen and its derivatives.

Bechtel Energy Technologies & Solutions (BETS), a company dedicated to assisting customers in achieving net zero energy, will assist CWP in taking the next steps toward developing and constructing complex green hydrogen hubs.

CWP benefits from Bechtel’s extensive experience in large-scale project engineering, as well as BETS’ extensive process optimization and energy integration expertise. For CWP Global’s portfolio of green projects, the overall assessment will include recommendations for a techno-economic implementation plan, starting with how electrolyzer capacity requirements align with location-specific design challenges, cooling water supply, and wastewater disposal.
