Egypt’s Ministry of Transport has secured Cabinet approval for a groundbreaking project aimed at producing green hydrogen.

Developed in collaboration with Belgium’s renowned energy company DEME, this initiative forms a crucial part of Egypt’s broader strategy to localize the production of green hydrogen and its derivatives, including green ammonia.

The proposed project is strategically positioned near the Jarjoub sea port and the Jarjoub Special Economic Zone, underscoring Egypt’s commitment to leveraging its advantageous geographical position.
