Dominion Energy is upgrading its high-pressure gas storage at Millstone nuclear power station in Waterford, CT. This site supplies power to two million homes and contributes over 90% of Connecticut’s carbon-free energy.

FIBA Technologies, based in Massachusetts, has been chosen to provide the plant with hydrogen gas storage vessels. FIBA’s storage vessels are used worldwide in industries like electronics and medicine, and their gas trailers are commonplace on US and international roads.

Kaio Barbosa, FIBA’s sales representative, explains that Dominion Energy has specifically ordered Type 1 storage vessels made from seamless steel to ensure safety for the nuclear energy sector.
