Doosan Corporation has announced that it is working on a 10kW solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) with the best power generation efficiency in the world.
From 2022, the SOFC will be possible to be installed in buildings and dwellings, providing renewable energy generation.
The 10kW SOFC offers a 40 percent higher power generation efficiency than conventional polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells (PEMFC) while also conserving roughly 50 percent of space.
As a result, the SOFC may be installed in a variety of structures and does not take up a lot of space.
Kim Deok-hyun, BU Manager of Doosan Corporation Fuel Cell Power said, “As a result of internal testing, we can confidently say that the power generation efficiency of this product is the highest in the world.
“We will lead the fuel cell market for building owners and houses through SOFC products.”
