At the Hannover Messe, Eberspaecher will unveil its innovative exhaust system for hydrogen internal combustion engines. The company is using its decades of experience with internal combustion engines to develop hydrogen engines.

“The exhaust gas specialists from the Eberspaecher Group introduce the H2-ICE exhaust system, which is exclusively built for exhaust-gas after treatment in hydrogen engines.”

Because exhaust gases such as nitrogen oxide, tiny quantities of particulates, and unburned hydrocarbons are created from the engine oil channel, Eberspaecher believes exhaust systems are just as important in hydrogen engines as they are in typical internal combustion engines.

For NOx conversion, urea-water solutions are employed as reducing agents in selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technologies. The addition of the urea-water solution might also result in the formation of particles.

The new system is modular, allowing it to be tailored to the demands of specific clients and applications, according to the business.
