New green hydrogen project from EDF Renewables will help the Teesside area of the UK become a hub for hydrogen technologies.

Renewable energy from offshore wind farms will be used to generate green hydrogen in a new project near Hartlepool. Hydrogen will be supplied to hard-to-abate sectors in an effort to reduce carbon emissions by the local and national governments.

The electrolyser’s capacity and ability to generate green hydrogen will be increased by using solar energy from the proposed Tees Solar Farm.
