GV Investment Group Egypt’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, Sherif Hammouda, has announced his company’s readiness to join forces with German and Chinese clean energy production companies.

The coalition aims to establish a project in Egypt’s industrial city of Tarbol, investing $100 million to manufacture electrolyzer units that produce green hydrogen. With a projected production capacity of 500 megawatts, the project aims to bolster Egypt’s energy alternatives and combat the global energy crisis. The strategic decision to adopt Alkaline electrolyzers promises cost-effectiveness, ease of use, and applicability in diverse industrial activities. As the Egyptian government accelerates efforts to advance green hydrogen production projects, this coalition signals a vital step towards a greener and more sustainable future.

The primary goal of the Egyptian-Germany-Chinese coalition is to establish a cutting-edge green hydrogen production project in Egypt’s industrial city of Tarbol. By manufacturing electrolyzer units, the coalition aims to harness renewable energy sources to produce green hydrogen, promoting sustainable alternatives to conventional energy sources and fostering energy security.

The project’s adoption of Alkaline electrolyzers as the preferred technology reflects their numerous advantages. Alkaline electrolyzers are renowned for their cost-effectiveness, user-friendliness, and applicability in various industrial activities. By utilizing water and a liquid electrolyte solution, these electrolyzers facilitate the clean and efficient production of green hydrogen.

With a projected production capacity of 500 megawatts, the green hydrogen project aspires to increase Egypt’s energy alternatives significantly. As the world faces a global energy crisis, this initiative holds the promise of enhancing energy security, reducing dependence on conventional energy sources, and advancing the country’s sustainable energy goals.

The Egyptian government’s concerted efforts to advance green hydrogen production projects underscore its commitment to combating climate change and transitioning towards sustainable energy sources. By entering into agreements and MoUs with global and Arab companies, Egypt positions itself at the forefront of the green hydrogen revolution, driving economic growth and environmental preservation.
