Hydrogen energy is poised to play an essential role in our future due to its immense potential for positively impacting our climate, economies, and people.

Many local councils have now declared a climate and nature emergency, setting ambitious targets to reach net zero often ahead of the 2050 date established by the Government. Stroud District Council was among the first to declare such an emergency, committing to becoming a carbon-neutral district by 2030. Previously, it had already achieved the milestone of being the first carbon-neutral council in Europe.

As we approach these critical deadlines, the pressure to make difficult decisions increases, especially as the industry navigates significant fiscal restraints. Despite these challenges, the importance of transitioning to sustainable energy sources, such as hydrogen, cannot be underestimated.

Hydrogen energy could significantly benefit our climate by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. It also presents a promising opportunity for economic growth by fostering new industries and job creation. The adoption of hydrogen technology will help ensure a cleaner, more sustainable future, benefiting both the environment and society.
