Equinor has joined the Center for Hydrogen Safety (CHS) as a member organization.
With its headquarters in Stavanger, Norway, Equinor serves as a world-class oil and gas company committed to providing affordable energy for society and taking the lead in accelerating the growth of renewables and pioneering the development of value chains for carbon capture as well as hydrogen.
The addition of Equinor to the group of more than 70 world-renowned organizations dedicated to safe hydrogen use and information exchange further strengthens the already impressive membership roster. As part of Equinor’s early-stage efforts to convert natural gas to low-carbon hydrogen, the company is also capturing and storing CO2. H2H Saltend, H2morrow steel, and NortH2 are three of the company’s current projects.
Founded in 2018 by the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), CHS is a technical community for chemical engineers (AIChE). Access to conferences and working groups, safety guidance, training and workshops are just some of the perks available to CHS members. They also have access to a global forum where they can discuss new issues and potentially influence technical solutions.
