Hydrogen Europe, the leading organization for the European hydrogen industry, made significant strides in international collaboration by signing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with India and Chile.

These agreements are set to enhance inter-industry and public-private collaborations between the European Union and the aforementioned countries, at a time when the European Commission has ambitious plans to import 10 million tonnes of renewable hydrogen by 2030.

These partnerships aim to boost the hydrogen economy, ensuring a steady exchange of technology, expertise, and resources. Given the growing global emphasis on clean and sustainable energy, this move represents a strategic effort to position Europe as a central player in the global hydrogen market, while strengthening ties with key regions like South Asia and South America.

The signing took place in the backdrop of heightened discussions around energy policies and climate initiatives, reaffirming Europe’s commitment to sustainable and renewable energy solutions. The partnerships with India and Chile are expected to pave the way for collaborative efforts in research, technology exchange, and the development of hydrogen infrastructure.
