Falck Renewables has purchased the remaining 30 percent of Big Fish SPV and Iron SPV from Canadian Solar Group.
Big Fish SPV owns a solar project currently under construction in the provinces of Catania and Siracusa, Sicily, with a total capacity of more than 250 MW. The project, which acquired grid link and preliminary land rights, applied for licenses and permits at the end of 2019.
Iron SPV is the owner of a solar plant under construction in the province of Catania. The total capacity of the project is approximately 35 MW. The project acquired grid link and provisional land rights and applied for licenses and permits in June 2020.
With this purchase, Falck Renewables completes the 100 percent acquisition of both corporate capitals. The acquisition of 70 percent of Big Fish SPV and Iron SPV from the Canadian Solar Group was closed on 25 July 2019 and 19 December 2019 respectively.
This acquisition confirms again Falck Renewables’ commitment to developing high-quality greenfield photovoltaic projects in Italy.
