Strategic truck order for hydrogen fuel cells goes to Concentric

A leading North American producer of zero-emission trucks has ordered a fully integrated high voltage cooling solution from Concentric AB. The order, worth MSEK 201, will be fulfilled over the course of the following two years.

Concentric is a significant proponent of the development of zero-emission commercial vehicle as an innovator in flow control and fluid power, delivering unique systems and components to the global truck, agricultural machinery, construction equipment, and industrial applications end-markets. The use of hydrogen as a fuel source is very alluring because hydrogen fuel cells only emit heat and water, which is perfect for zero emissions goals. As a result, they offer machines and vehicles a very green source of electricity.

The following EMP-branded items will be supplied as concentrated solutions under this order: WP120 e-water pumps and controllers, Smart Flow FiC-15″ and FiC-31″ e-fans, and Smart Flow FiC-31″ e-fans.


Israel opens first hydrogen fuel station

With the recent opening of Israel’s first hydrogen fueling station, H2-powered zero-emission vehicles may now fill at the same gas and diesel pumps as conventional vehicles.

Transport is one of the most polluting industries, thus decarbonizing it has taken top priority in Israel’s efforts to lower its carbon footprint. Because of this, the launch of its first hydrogen fueling station marks an essential first step in creating a new infrastructure that will support zero-emission automobiles.

The new facility is located close to Haifa Bay. Drivers of H2-powered vehicles can use this facility to recharge their tanks with H2 in a manner that is quite similar to how they would refuel with gasoline or diesel.


Hydrogen levy in UK to result in increase in energy costs

According to a report published by a think tank in the United Kingdom called Onward, the proposed “hydrogen levy” in the United Kingdom would increase the annual energy expenses of the typical dual-fuel family by £118 ($146). The report also recommended for an alternate method of subsidizing the industry.

Subject to comment and approval, the Hydrogen generation Levy, which is a form of taxation, is expected to cover “all revenue support for low-carbon hydrogen production” under the Energy Bill that is currently being considered by the UK government.
