Green Navy to unveil ‘Prometeo’ hydrogen catamaran at ‘Monaco Sustainable & Smart Marina Rendezvous 2023’

The ‘Prometeo’ catamaran will be officially unveiled on September 24 and 25 at the ‘Monaco Sustainable & Smart Marina Rendezvous 2023’ event, hosted by Green Navy, a French firm that is developing the first electro-hydrogen propulsion catamaran in Europe for commercial passenger and freight services.

Simon Francis Mann has been named the non-executive Chairman of Hydrogen Utopia International PLC, a company that specializes in converting non-recyclable mixed waste plastic into hydrogen and other carbon-free fuels, new materials, or distributed renewable heat, with immediate effect. Guy Peters, who served as the company’s executive chairman, is still a board executive director.

Simon Francis Mann has over ten years of military service with the British Army and an additional ten years of contracting experience with several Private Military Companies (“PMC”).


Rheinkraft International becomes Keyou’ win’s second customer for hydrogen trucks

Keyou is renowned as a hydrogen engine converter. Since May 2023, the business has been conducting testing in the Munich area of an 18-ton truck prototype based on a Mercedes-Benz Actros. Rheinkraft International (RKI), a company based in Duisburg, has now expressed a second concrete interest in the truck by ordering one of the CO2-free models. Australia opens Guarantee of Origin Scheme consultation

Australia is consulting on the Guarantee of Origin (GO) scheme’s design.

The internationally-aligned GO Scheme certifies and tracks hydrogen and hydrogen energy carrier emissions.

It will show Australian and international consumers the carbon emissions of their purchases. This will enable large-scale hydrogen and clean energy production and export in Australia.

REGO is part of the GO program. Renewable electricity generation will be approved and tracked under REGO. GO program producers and other voluntary renewable electricity users will benefit from transparency in renewable electricity generation and usage.


Paraguay open to get Chinese investment in hydrogen

Carlos Fernandez, the finance minister for Paraguay, was quoted in Taiwan’s Taipei News as saying that the nation would explore Chinese investment to expand its budding green hydrogen industry as it tries to become a regional fertilizer provider.

One of the few nations in the world has diplomatic links to Taiwan is Paraguay.


Sarawak to play big role in hydrogen

With the unveiling of Malaysia’s Hydrogen Economy and Technology Roadmap (HETR) scheduled for next month, Sarawak is in a position to play a big role.

Sarawak is currently the most advanced state in terms of hydrogen economy and technology, according to Chang Lih Kang, Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation.

Chang expressed optimism that Malaysia’s hydrogen industry may develop and considerably boost the economy of the nation through the HETR program.

By 2030, the hydrogen industry might increase national income to RM12.1 billion and contribute between RM49 and RM61 billion to the GDP.
