The Gigastack project aims to develop a blueprint for the deployment of industrial-scale renewable hydrogen from offshore wind, and this is the first visualisation of what a renewable hydrogen plant in the Humber could look like – brought together based on work conducted as part of the FEED study, which will ultimately help turn this “virtual” vision into a reality.

The FEED research enabled the partners – ITM Power, Ørsted, Phillips 66, and Element Energy – to gather significant, in-depth knowledge about the requirements for constructing a large-scale hydrogen electrolysis facility and the associated problems.
