GKN Hydrogen has clinched a contract to deploy two cutting-edge metal hydride hydrogen storage units, boasting a total capacity of 500 kilograms, at the Technical University of Braunschweig Research Airport in Germany.

This strategic move is part of the ambitious €20 million ($21.9 million) “hydrogen terminal project” spearheaded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The installation of these storage units is slated for December 2023, with full operational integration anticipated by 2024.

GKN Hydrogen, a prominent player in the hydrogen sector, has secured a pivotal role in this groundbreaking project.
