Nobel laureate Professor Sir Fraser Stoddart and Professor Omar Yaghi have united to establish H2MOF, a pioneering company dedicated to advancing solid-state hydrogen storage solutions.

With a mission to develop efficient and durable storage technologies operating under ambient temperature and low pressure, H2MOF aims to accelerate the transition to a sustainable, decarbonized energy landscape.

Amidst the pressing climate crisis and the persistent dominance of fossil fuels in the energy sector, H2MOF recognizes hydrogen as a paramount component of a greener future. With its unparalleled energy density and emission-free nature, hydrogen emerges as a cornerstone in the quest for sustainable energy solutions.

Departing from conventional methods reliant on compression or liquefaction, H2MOF leverages reticular chemistry and artificial molecular machinery to engineer materials tailored for efficient hydrogen storage. These materials, meticulously designed at the atomic level, offer a promising solution to the challenges posed by hydrogen’s unique properties.
