HRS, a French designer and manufacturer of hydrogen refueling stations, has secured a firm order from Seven.

The order entails the installation of a hydrogen refueling station, labeled as HRS40, strategically located in the heart of the Tarn region. Let’s delve into the details and critically examine the implications of this endeavor.

The initiative forms a crucial component of the European project Corridor H2, backed by substantial financial support from the European Investment Bank and the European Commission. With an investment totaling 54.5 million euros, the project aims to foster the development and adoption of hydrogen infrastructure, aligning with broader European objectives for sustainable energy transition. The HRS40 station, boasting a capacity of 1 ton/day, is slated for commissioning by December 2024.

The HRS40 station will seamlessly integrate into the Saint-Sulpice-la-Pointe multi-energy station, spearheaded by Seven. This integration underscores the convergence of hydrogen initiatives with existing energy infrastructure, facilitating streamlined operations and enhancing accessibility. Notably, the multi-energy station, inaugurated in April 2022, already features four Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) tracks, showcasing Seven’s commitment to diversifying energy offerings.

The collaboration marks the inception of a strategic partnership between HRS and Seven, aimed at catalyzing hydrogen infrastructure development. Signed on March 28, the partnership outlines ambitious targets, envisioning the installation of up to five hydrogen stations by 2025.
