Veteran Express Secure Logistics becomes Hydra Energy’s second heavy-duty vehicle fleet customer (VEXSL).
VEXSL will get free installation of Hydra’s patented hydrogen-diesel co-combustion injection devices. VEXSL agreed to a long-term, low-carbon hydrogen fuel contract in return for a fuelling infrastructure that allows vehicles to refill as rapidly as diesel trucks. The contractual hydrogen will be priced at the diesel equivalent, ensuring that the fleets’ operating expenses would not rise.
Furthermore, each vehicle will cut greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by up to 67 tonnes per year while maintaining fuel economy, range, power, torque, and payload capacity – even during the harsh Canadian winters. As a result of rising freight pollution, GHG emissions are rapidly approaching pre-pandemic levels.
VEXSL is a veteran-owned and operated transportation logistics company that combines the security of armored vehicles with the high-volume transport nature of the freight industry to transport climate-sensitive, high-risk, and high-value goods throughout British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and soon the United States.
