Global corporations and domestic small and medium-sized businesses are collaborating to provide hydrogen technology to small and medium-sized businesses in the United States.

We want to continue exchanging through the Korea Hydrogen Industry Association’s Hydrogen Components Committee.

The 2nd Hydrogen Components Committee was convened on the 25th at the Ulsan The M Convention by the Korea Hydrogen Industry Association (Chairman Bang-hee Kim). After the first meeting in September, this is the second meeting.

Employees from all value chain, not only hydrogen components, assembled at one spot. Attendees included representatives from a variety of materials, components, and equipment firms, ranging from miscellaneous items like bolts and nuts to equipment.

The purpose of this gathering was to discuss current concerns in the hydrogen sector and to share challenges encountered during the business process. There were also some who advocated for government action. It has created a platform for member firms to communicate with one another.

The Korean Intellectual Property Office and the Korea Customs Service (Ulsan Customs) were among the government officials who attended the conference, which included 35 member firms and suggested steps to boost the hydrogen sector.

The Korean Intellectual Property Office is presently concentrating on obtaining patents for hydrogen production technology that is both high-efficiency and large-capacity. Beyond the initial stages of usage, such as hydrogen automobiles and fuel cells, the corporation is increasing its investment in areas like as storage, transportation, infrastructure, and safety.

Import and export enterprises are supported by the Korea Customs Service, which has a specialized workforce. This is to assist FTA operations and the challenges of clearing customs in other countries. Korea has 17 free trade agreements in place with 57 countries across the world. The Korea Customs Service has despatched customs officials to 13 locations in nine countries across the world to serve as a point of contact for receiving and resolving customs clearance issues.

The Hydrogen Components Committee, led by Emerson Korea, is working on support measures for hydrogen component localisation. Businesses interested in the localization of Sojang, as well as the 207 member companies of the Korea Hydrogen Industry Association, can offer their views to the committee.
