IIT Bombay, in partnership with HSBC India, has recently launched a green hydrogen program.

This collaboration signifies a major step towards sustainable energy solutions in India. The initiative aims to promote research and development in green hydrogen technology, positioning India as a frontrunner in clean energy transition.

The collaboration has led to the selection of six innovative projects. These projects were chosen for their potential to make significant advancements in green hydrogen technology. The selection was based on criteria such as feasibility, innovation, and potential impact on the environment and economy.

The chosen projects cover a range of areas within the green hydrogen sector. They include advancements in hydrogen production methods, the development of efficient storage solutions, and innovations in hydrogen distribution technology. Each project is designed to address specific challenges and contribute to the broader goal of establishing green hydrogen as a viable energy source.

This move by IIT Bombay and HSBC India highlights the importance of green hydrogen in India’s energy strategy. Research and development are crucial in driving green hydrogen technology forward. The collaboration between IIT Bombay and HSBC India emphasizes the role of academic institutions and the private sector in fostering innovation. By investing resources into R&D, the program aims to generate new knowledge and create scalable solutions for global energy challenges.
