The government of India announced that it has set green hydrogen and ammonia consumption objectives for some businesses to generate demand.

In an effort to reduce emissions and establish itself as a major producer of green hydrogen, India has approved a $2.15 billion incentive program with the goal of reaching net-zero carbon emissions by the year 2070.

The government stated that it will require a coordinated effort from all of its ministries, each of which will have a distinct aim, in order to meet its carbon emissions goal.
