Ireland’s gas industry has announced a critical tender titled “Technical Assurance Services” under reference number 350174-2024. Published today, the tender invites qualified organizations to submit their bids by July 31, 2024. This tender is crucial in ensuring the quality and safety of hydrogen-related projects and promoting sustainable energy development.

The main objective of this tender is to secure professional technical assurance services to support Ireland’s ambitious hydrogen initiatives. These services will encompass a wide range of activities, including equipment quality assurance, compliance with technical standards, and verification of safety protocols. The ultimate goal is to ensure a reliable and secure hydrogen supply chain, which is essential for the successful transition to green energy.

Key requirements for the tender include:

1. Experience in the Gas Industry: The tender stipulates that participating companies must have a proven track record in the gas sector, particularly with projects involving hydrogen or other renewable gases.

2. Technical Expertise: Detailed knowledge of technical standards and regulatory requirements is mandatory. The selected provider must conduct thorough inspections, evaluations, and certification processes to ensure all systems and components meet the necessary safety and performance criteria.

3. Quality Assurance Procedures: The tender emphasizes the need for robust quality assurance methodologies. Companies must demonstrate their capability to implement rigorous quality control processes that align with international best practices.

4. Safety Compliance: Given the volatile nature of hydrogen, safety compliance is paramount. The tender requires the successful bidder to audit safety measures regularly, ensure adherence to safety protocols, and conduct risk assessments to mitigate potential hazards.

In addition, the technical assurance services provider must be adept at utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and technologies to monitor and evaluate the performance of hydrogen systems. This includes employing state-of-the-art sensors and data analytics to provide real-time assessments and predictive maintenance recommendations.

This tender marks a vital step in Ireland’s commitment to advancing its hydrogen economy. The country aims to build a robust and secure hydrogen infrastructure by securing high-quality technical assurance services, which are essential for achieving its renewable energy targets and reducing carbon emissions.

Interested organizations are encouraged to visit the official procurement portal to access full tender documents and submit their proposals by July 31, 2024.
