Italy’s Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, under the leadership of Matteo Salvini, has allocated €700 million for the enhancement of the regional railway park.

This scheme aims to procure electric or hydrogen-powered trains to modernize the country’s transportation infrastructure. However, a critical evaluation of this initiative is essential to gauge its effectiveness and sustainability within the hydrogen energy sector.

The distribution decree scheme allocates significant resources towards upgrading the regional railway park, emphasizing the importance of transitioning to more sustainable transportation solutions.
