Electric Power Development (J-POWER) and YamnaCo (Yamna), have signed an agreement for combined development and investment in green hydrogen and ammonia projects worldwide.

J-POWER’s pledge to reduce its CO2 emissions by 46% by 2030, with a net-zero goal by 2050, supports the project. Their commitment involves replacing coal-fired power plants with CO2-free hydrogen and ammonia power generation units.

Yamna’s area of focus includes the production of green ammonia in regions abundant with renewable energy resources for exports to favorable regions like Japan.

The deal involves both parties agreeing to fund and build green hydrogen projects globally. These projects could either be part of Yamna’s present pipeline or jointly started ventures. Specific agreements will be established for every project they jointly undertake.
