Shanghai’s Jiading District, issued policies promoting automobile industry development through electrification, automation, network connectivity, and sharing.
The district also released an action plan aimed at accelerating the development of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.
Jiading District has developed a strong industrial base and dynamic industry chains as a result of its efforts to upgrade its automobile industry.
The district’s leading actors have joined to boost the vehicle industry’s development in four critical areas: electrification, automation, network connectivity, and sharing. SAIC Volkswagen, Volvo, NIO, Li Auto, Horizon Robotics, and Shanghai Hydrogen Propulsion Technology are just a few examples.
Jiading District has also established a national leadership position in terms of supporting the automobile industry, with notable projects including China’s only international pilot zone for electric vehicles, China’s first pilot zone for intelligent connected vehicles (ICVs) approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and China’s first fixed hydrogen refueling station with the longest record of safe operation, among others.
The district will continue to strengthen its position in the automobile industry in the future by elevating its innovation, service, and resources, aiming to increase worldwide competency and develop additional new technologies and standards for the industry.
