A request for proposals has been made by the Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) for consulting services to conduct a feasibility study for the production of green hydrogen, ammonia, and fertilizers at its pilot plant at Olkaria, Naivasha, Kenya.

If a consultant is a joint venture (JV), the main member’s name, as well as the entire name of the JV, must be given. If sub-consultants have been suggested, they must be identified. The datasheet must state the maximum number of JV members.

According to the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act of 2015, a company will be chosen using the Quality and Cost Based Selection technique and in the manner outlined in the complete RFP document.

On August 18, 2022, at 10 a.m. through Zoom Link, there will be a required pre-bid conference that must be registered for in advance.

The Original Tender Security of 700,000.00 Kenyan Shillings is accepted from any reputable banks that are members of the Central Bank of Kenya’s registry for a period of 30 days after the tender’s validity period.

On or before the tender closing date, the original tender security, clearly marked, shall be deposited in the tender box situated on the ground floor of the KenGen, RBS building.

A completed RFP Document must be submitted online by September 30, 2022, at 10 a.m., or earlier.

On or before September 30, 2022, electronic tenders will be accepted using our e-procurement platform, which may be accessed at www.kengen.co.ke.

The technical proposal papers must be uploaded to the SRM System’s c-folder via the “Technical RFx response” link.

Documents pertaining to the financial proposal must be posted on the “notes and attachments” page.

On September 30, 2022, at 10:30 a.m., only technical proposals will be opened online in the presence of applicants’ representatives who prefer to attend in the Tenders’ Room on the 6th floor of the RBS building.
